The Coq d'Or opened its doors the day after Prohibition was repealed and has been packing in the crowds ever since. Local residents delight in Executive Cocktails (4 oz), wines, beers, after work, dinner, or the show. The friendly staff knows many by name and is delighted to recommend food for any mood. Corned beef hash with eggs, chili con carne, sandwiches, Bookbinder soup, turkey with mashed potatoes and gravy, salads, desserts, and much more are all extremely reasonably priced and available from 11:00 AM. But it's not just about food and drinks, it's about friends, service, and a home away from home.
